Ben Grace was proud to be commissioned by local musician Cat Eliza T to create the music video for ‘I Should Wait Around’, the lead single from her forthcoming EP of the same name.
Inspired by the character and energy of the song, the video brings together a playful combination of puppetry and live action, creating a surreal visual world that feels both handmade and cinematic. Blending practical effects, performance and imaginative storytelling, the film was designed to complement Cat’s music while giving the song a distinctive visual identity of its own.
The result is a wonderfully unconventional music video that embraces the charm and imperfections of practical filmmaking, bringing its characters and ideas to life in a way that simply couldn’t be achieved through conventional live action alone.
It was a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with a talented local artist and create something truly unique — a little strange, a little playful, and, most importantly, awesome.
