Evelyn | Canon 518 Super 8 Camera

n late 2013 Ben Grace purchased a Canon 518 super 8 SV Autozoom camera and one reel of Kodak film from Gauge Films and set out to capture his family during a regular Sunday meet-up with new addition Evelyn.

Inspired by the works of popular Youtuber Ray Roberts, Ben set out to try out a filming medium he’d never before attempted – Super 8. With advice from Ray, Ben had purchased a Canon 518 Super 8 Camera from eBay and one Sunday visited his Grandparents. Every Sunday, the majority of the Grace family visited Reg and Jean Grace and spend the afternoon drinking tea, eating cake and watching football. However, new addition Evelyn had never met her great-grandparents so Ben Grace decided to film that first meeting.
