After Party

About After Party

After Party is a short psychological horror film written and directed by Ben Grace. After Party premiered in the UK in November 2014 during Southampton Film Week. As part of the official selection for the SFW: Shorts competition it competed for Best Film. In December 2014 After Party was accepted into TOFF: The Online Film Festival to compete in it's December edition of Short Film of the Month. In January 2016, After Party was picked up for distribution by CryptTV, a LA-based distribution company co-founded by Eli Roth (Cabin Fever, Hostel) and Jason Blum (Whiplash, The Purge, Insidious, Paranormal Activity).

After Party originated as a way to test some new equipment Ben Grace had purchased. Having recently upgraded to the Canon 5D Mark II Ben was keen to install Magic Lantern and try out filming in RAW. During that testing period, Ben Grace came up with the idea for After Party. Whilst most of the film was shot at night, a small amount was shot during the day then graded to make it look like it was filmed at night.
